A comfortable day in the life of Bea Standryck, a femme fatale with a heart of gold, takes a turn for the worse when she stumbles across a dead body in an alley. The body is clutching her bottle of catsup! Bea flees to the office of Humphty Bograd, a world-weary, insightful private eye, to seek help. Humph sifts through suspect after suspect after suspect, or rather roommate after roommate after roommate's fiancé, in his quest to discover who stole Bea's catsup. Along the way he uncovers even more heinous crimes--if things keep going this well, he may even get around to figuring out who killed that guy in the alley! But Humph has barely scratched the surface. Nothing is as it seems in this offbeat film noir parody.
