In using this old theme, the escape of an innocent man from prison by the help of his friends who provide relays of ponies, the Selig people have justified themselves by the new verve and elan in the way they do it. It makes a good picture with sensational riding and with no breaks in the action. That is all that can be said about it, but that is enough. It is an offering sure to entertain. The producer's name is not given, but it seems to be to the credit of William Duncan. - The Moving Picture World, November 29, 1913
