A western doctor performs a transfusion of blood operation at a moment's notice in a miner's shack. The sheriff's prisoner, a gambler, who has killed the miner, gives his blood to save his victim's wife, weakened by her exertions to provide for her baby. It is not exactly a pleasant story, nor can it be called convincing, but it is pretty well put on and there is much in it that will help to make it a popular offering. The photography is clear and the backgrounds well chosen. - The Moving Picture World, August 15, 1914
