PamelaShort16 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
'Alabam' Spencer Merridew ( Louis Willoughby ) is murdered by a claim jumper. His partner 'Mendocino' Bill ( J. Farrell MacDonald ) sends the dead man's daughter, Rosemary ( Gladys Walton ) to live with her Uncle Henry, who lives in a southern city. Henry welcomes her, but his wife and daughter, Pauline, see her as an interloper, especially when young Dr.Tom Dowling ( Harold Miller ) whom Mrs. Merridew ( Muriel Godfrey Turner ) wants to marry her daughter, falls in love with Rosemary. A happy ending prevails as Pauline and Tom are finally married, also Mendocino, who has struck it rich, attends the wedding.

Desperate Youth starring Gladys Walton and produced by the Universal Film Manufacturing Company, is now sadly a lost silent film.
