LE LOGIS DE L'HORREUR (Der Unheimliche Gast)is a short written ,directed and filmed by Julien Duvivier;it's the story of a young couple honeymooning ;as they walk by the seaside ,they are cursed (like the five gentlemen of the 1932 )by a sinister-looking woman. "Tonight both of you will die" .They spend the night in a old mansion near decay where their honeymoon (check the French title,more expressive than the German one)won't be the one they expected : some kind of fool whose beloved died some years ago thinks that the bride is his woman who rose from the dead.At the time ,German expressionism was the major influence and it shows in Duvivier's maleficent tale.
