Reference View | Change View

It's the story of a biblical-era country boy, Jether, who goes off to an unnamed city and gets pulled into the high-life with Tisha, played by Greta Nissen (in maybe her first Hollywood appearance). She's protected by the crooked Tola.

Trivia Likely to be the first film appearance of Myrna Loy, playing a reveler in an orgy scene. In her autobiography, she describes how she and the other dancers at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, who performed in stage prologues there, were recruited and bussed to the studio one day for this film. She had not been in any films before that, even as an extra. See more »
