So glad I had the chance to see this!

Warning: Spoilers
I had the rare chance to see this obviously almost totally unknown film in Vienna, in a small old cinema connected to the film museum. I am a big fan of Mädchen in Uniform so I was very eager to see the same lead actresses together in another film. (The only other by the way) The story is very unusual and partly awkward. The two main people in the story are Anna, a young girl (played by Hertha Thiele), who is thought of having the ability to heal people mysteriously. Elisabeth, played by Darathea Wieck, is a young - middle aged aristocratic woman, that is disabled and puts all her hopes in meeting Anna and having her disability heal by her. A strange ambivalent relationship develops between the two women, and just one of them survives. I was stunned by that movie. The acting of Dorothea Wieck (and also of the others) is stupendous.
