  • The main character is seen frequently drinking brandy. At one point another man (the Inspector) is seen drinking a brandy.
  • Smoking is very light or none at all.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Most of the violence is mild by today's standards. What might be more frightening is the revealing of the monster to two or three characters (their frightened expressions).

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The monster is finally killed by being knocked into the sulfur pit where he dissolves. This is fairly mild, beginning with a falling scream, but after landing, he makes no more sounds. Might be shocking to children under 8.
  • One man with a prosthetic arm (having had his real arm torn off by the monster years ago) has it ripped off again. This is fairly mild and should not shock children over 6.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Ygor commands Frankenstein to kill someone with an instrument of some kind. There is no music other than the song he is playing. The song along with the scene altogether can creep people out.
