Intriguing, enigmatic, and surprisingly bold short

Warning: Spoilers
A successful writer of pulp novels receives an unexpected visit: a comely schoolgirl who wants to interview him for a school project. But the writer will soon realize that the girl is up to more than just an "interview". This is a very intriguing short (29 minutes), which examines the male fantasies of the "dashing adventurer/womanizer" under the prism of the growing feminism of the 1970s, and finds them both sad and nasty. It's also quite bold for its era, both in language and in the fact that the stunning (25 year old) Susan Penhaligon appears topless for several minutes. Based on a short story by John Fowles, whose novels were turned into some pretty well-known movies ("The Collector", "The French Lieutenant's Woman"). Worth seeking. *** out of 4.
