- Brief closeup shots of a woman's bellybutton and torso under her shirt as ants crawl over her skin. A nipple is briefly visible in extreme closeup.

- A dead man's hand is opened and we see three holes in the middle and ants crawl out of one of the holes.
- Three people run into a field being sprayed with poison, are covered, and fall to the ground. The next morning they are seen lying on the ground dead (bloodless).
- A horse is swarmed with ants (not visible) and has a panic attack and is shot offscreen by it's owner.
- A man is bitten by an ant on his hand and grows an infected, inflamed wound as the film goes on.

- A woman wanders into the desert, is presumably killed offscreen, and then resurrected under the control of ants.

- The ending is also ambiguous and fairly pessimistic as the two remaining main characters give up defending themselves and essentially have their minds taken over by ants.
