Not the most impressive show Marvel has ever produced, but one of those legendary shows you should watch in your life, if you're a Marvel or Super Hero fan!

Another good sentai series but...

Warning: Spoilers
After watching Denziman(one of the best early sentai in my opinion) I had high expectations for this "sequel", and after watching the first 10 episodes I was so disappointed that I even thought about skipping it, but I decided to give it another try, and it was worth it.

First of all, I want to mention the worst aspect about Sun Vulcan, which is that the first half of the season is horrible, most of it is boring and forgettable, all I can remember about it is the first episode and the return of Hedorian Joo, the rest was a big disappointment, but after Hiba Takayuki (Vul Eagle II) joined the team the series got really good actually, specially the last 10 episode which I consider some of the best from the season.

Let's talk about the characters, I really liked them, specially Commander Arayishama, who is now one of my favorites commanders from sentai. I liked the team except for Oowashi Ryuusuke who i felt was to bland and uninteresting, unlike his successor Hiba Takayuki who is my favorite member of the team, and he really shows how great he is in episode 44(which I consider the best episode of the season). In the villain side, I felt that there wasn't enough focus on Hell Saturn and the Black Sun God, specially the Black sun god who was introduced in episode 5 and was never mentioned again until episode 47, and it's a shame because they could have done greater stuff with them and Hell Saturn had the potential to be a great villain, he was powerful, intimidating, scary, but has almost no personality. It was never even clear what were his reasons to attack japan he just did it. The villains in general were a big step back after how great the Vader Clan was a season before. The only villains I found interesting were Hedorian joo and Amazon Killer, and they were originally from the vader clan, but also there is Inazuma Ginga who was introduced as late as episode 45, but he is also a cool villain and I prefer him being introduced near the end than him being introduced earlier and becoming a background character like Banriki Maoh in the previous season.

I have a lot to say about the characters in this season but I want to give the spotlight to every aspect, so let's talk about the music, it's my least favorite sentai soundtrack by now, the only song that I liked was "Yume no Tsubasa wo San Vulcan" because it's awesome and it's in my top 10 sentai songs, also, five seasons and they are still recycling the same background music from JAKQ, Battle Fever and Denziman, is a small detail but it still bothers me.

I normally don't care that much about the acting unless it's very bad, the acting in this series was normal from most of the cast(not too good but not too bad) except for Shin Kishida and Mashiko Soga, their performances were awesome (everything Machiko Soga did was awesome actually:) ). The action was great and the suit actors did a really good job, also it was a nice touch that the sun is used in the roll calls reminding us that this is he solar squeadron.

In conclusion, I liked this series but the first half is too boring and the soundtrack isn't the best from the franchise, I recommend it but after the first episode jump straight to episode 23, you will have a good time :)
