It's actually the first 'nouvelle violence' film, and it's brilliant.

As a kid I liked this film for it's specific type of violence (I must have been a horrible child). Now I think it's better than Tarantino's best.
On the surface it looks like a meaningless, stupid B-movie and most people will describe this as very bad.
I've read a comment here, saying the acting is bad, the story is bad and the film can only be seen as a comedy. The person writing that, clearly didn't understand what he was watching.
The acting is actually very good, this film isn't about a story and it's absolutely not funny, it's very dark.
Once you get it, it's brilliant.
