They don't come more family oriented than this. This fully worthwhile TV series, directed by Mark de Friest and Mark Smith, chronicles the life of a young mother (Zoe Bertram) who inherits a dilapidated old property up Queensland way, which offers a hotel and a profusion of animal life. The family head-off north with the notion of turning the place into a wild-life sanctuary.
The storyline of course offers total scope to showcase Australian fauna. Cutesy Koalas, kangaroos and all things furry and spiny. A child's delight! The series was filmed principally up at Warner Bros Gold Coast studios in Queensland.
The excellent music score was a collaboration between Garry McDonald and Laurie Stone.
