Both writers came up with a very fine script, full of surprising turns in the plot to keep the tension, and a more than adequate cast was summoned. But no one took account of director Rothemund who in the end tricked everybody out and managed to make a strong premise into a dragging and tedious film: good films are not only based on good scripts and cast, but also for instance on timing and rhythm of which both skills Rothemund has not the slightest notion. Another promising script gone down the drain.
