I don't know anyone who doesn't like the Animaniacs. The show is very well done. It makes fun of very recent things ( during the time of course ). I love all the shows on there. From Pinky And The Brain to the others. The characters are all very fun and memorable. And it paces out the different shorts from the Animaniacs very nicely. Overall its a classic cartoon I could watch any day.

When I was younger this was a cartoon I always watched, and now that I look back on it I still remember having some fun with it, as I am sure producer Steven Spielberg had making it. Basically three weird, wild and wonderful, if sometimes annoying generic siblings, the Warner brothers Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister Dot, who are meant to be locked in the Warner Tower always get out and cause mischief wherever they go. The characters that often appeared in episodes with them, also from the Warner Brothers studio, were Ralph the dumb security guard trying to catch them, the bald psychiatrist Doctor Otto Scratchansniff, or Dr. Scratch, and Hello Nurse the buxom nurse who the brothers would always lusted over. But the show also had supporting cast members, most often in their own cartoon short, including Pinky and the Brain (who got their own spin-off) the white mice - one genius, one insane - trying to take over the world, Slappy Squirrel with the naive young nephew Skippy, The Goodfeathers - three pigeons Bobby, Squit and Pesto with gangster like characteristics, Rita and Runt - the singing cat and the big stupid dog, Buttons and Mindy - the baby constantly running off and the dog trying to get her back and getting in trouble by the end, Chicken Boo - the six foot tall chicken in disguise as an iconic character with only one person aware and by the end "shockingly" revealed, and Good Idea/Bad Idea with the mute Mr. Skullhead - where he demonstrates the benefit and disastrous sides of an activity, for example "finding an Easter egg on Easter morning, and then find an Easter egg on Christmas morning". The episodes I remember best are the Animaniacs turning up in an episode of Star Trek and The Great Wakkorotti (a burping opera performance), so during childhood this a good way to spend an afternoon, a fun animated series. Very good!
not just for kids

When I was a kid, this was my favorite show. I still love the show for its great music and hilarious episodes, but I don't admit it anymore. It's too bad that this is seen as a childish cartoon, because a lot of the jokes are for adults too. Not just the inside-jokes about Hollywood and Bill Clinton, but there were also jokes such as this one (from the Thanksgiving episode):
Yakko is protecting his turkey friend from a hunter who wants to make the turkey into Thanksgiving dinner. The hunter insists, "Give me the bird!" Yakko counters with, "We would, but the FOX censors won't allow it."
The music is great, the show is hilarious, the animation is outstanding. Some of the minor characters are really dumb though, (Minerva Mink, that nameless blue baby bird, etc.) but most of them are funny. It's a real shame that very few adults would sit down and watch this show.

I used to love Animaniacs when I was younger. The animation, voice work, and music are all great. The humor is very funny in a smart way, it isn't a stupid show like many other kids shows that are released today. There are plenty of adult jokes that will entertain the adults who are watching the show with their kids.
The characters in this show are all very unique and make the show worth watching. Two very famous characters, Pinky and the Brain, had their own spin off show after-wards. Pinky and the Brain are two lab rats who are always trying to take over the world.
This was a great show, it's a shame that many adults thought it was only for kids, because there really were plenty of jokes for the adults.

Growing up in the 90s, I watched these cartoons a lot and liked them. Even when I was young I realised that the Animaniacs were a bit different from most other cartoons. Like the episode where they make fun of Barney. At that age I wasn't used to seeing such blatant parodies, so I just remember thinking: "Wow! Are they allowed to do that?"
Recently I decided to check this show out again, for nostalgia's sake. This is when I discovered that it's even better than I remembered it to be. It's not just a silly kids' show, but it's full of clever humour that people of any age can appreciate. There are some scenes that I can watch again and again without getting tired of them. Like when Yakko sings about the nations of the world. Or when they sing about the ingredients of ice cream and candy bars (scary). Brilliant! I recommend watching this show with your kids, if you have any. If you don't, watch it on your own.

Nowadays, cartoons are either bad(Shaggy and Scooby Doo:Get a Clue) or good shows now mediocre(Pokemon and Spongebob Squarepants). At 17, I adore Animaniacs, it is a very funny and witty show. Although Disney silly Symphonies, Hanna Barbera and Looney Tunes had their fair share of classics, I feel that the best shows came from the late '80s and early '90s, naturally the ones that shaped my childhood. Where are shows like Animaniacs, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Peter Pan and the Pirates, DuckTales, Batman:The Animated Series, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Little Mermaid, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Pinky and the Brain and Pirates of Dark Water when you need them?
Back to Animaniacs, the show is very well animated, with vibrant colouring, crisp beautiful backgrounds and convincing movements for the characters. The music is not only catchy, it is actually memorable as well, and I constantly find myself humming it wherever I go. The scripts and humour are witty and hilarious, as are the situations no matter how silly they are the characters get into. This all springs from a great concept, some shows have a great concept but don't live up to it, Animaniacs does and superbly might I add, with story lines that are funny, touching and endearing. The characters are immensely likable with unique personalities, Wakko, Dot, Yakko, Minerva, Slappy, Skippy, Rita, Runt, Flavio, Marita and of course Pinky and the Brain. And these endearing characters are brilliantly voiced by the likes of Rob Paulson, Tress MacNeille, Jess Harnell, Frank Welker and Maurice LeMarche.
Overall, this is a superb animated show, that is not only for kids but for adults as well. 10/10 Bethany Cox

Animaniacs is a show about these ensemble cast of off-the-wall Warner Brothers characters, appearing in a wide variety of roles, acts and other stuff. This show is so hilarious especially because when Yakko, Wakko and Dot are seeing someone they just keep annoying them until the end of every episode! Another segment that is funny are the Pinky and the Brain segments, then in 1995, Pinky and the Brain spun off to their own show! I remember that this show was on Kids WB!, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. This is another one of my favorite cartoons that came out in 1993 along with Bonkers, Rocko's Modern Life, The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, 2 Stupid Dogs, Swat Kats: Radical Squadron and Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM). This show premiered June 1993 on Fox Kids and then in 1995 the show switched to Kids' WB. I like all the other segments on this show that are funny! This show also kind of reminded me of Tiny Toons. Very funny.

I watched mainly the first season and some episodes of the others as well.I did not find the show very appealing or funny.
The reason was, as many others have mentioned, that it had so many cultural references and parodies from USA movies and musicals mainly, that you had to be a movie expert to really grasp and appreciate the humor. Especially in the episodes with the Warner siblings. I admit it was a nice effort to include so many elements and quotes from movies. But sometimes I felt as if the script writers had made their own clique and totally ignored the fact that not every viewer, let alone a child, could have watched and memorized the films they did.
American viewers probably had an advantage in grasping some of the humor. But I doubt that when the series was exported in the rest of the world, that viewers from Europe (like me) would be able to really appreciate the show a little more.
But even when I could identify the movies that were parodied I found it wasn't done so well to made the series a classic.Some episodes were funny but not to that extent to make me love the show
So it was not surprisingly for me that the moments I liked were the episodes that hadn't a hint of humor or parody (some of R&R mainly) and also some of the Pinky and the Brain ones that had a more conventional and easy to follow humor. This had to do also probably with the good characterization and the unique musical experience of R&R, though I couldn't identify or have known about the musicals in R&R) Except the above-mentioned characters I found the rest very flat, even for a parody.
Though I like watching or re-watching the cartoons (American, European or Japanese) that aired during my childhood, this show has absolutely no re-watch value for me, except some of the R&R and P&B episodes.
A rather experimental way of script-writing for an animated episodic cartoon series. Original but not for everyone, especially if you have no experience in American TV. I prefer the classic American cartoons of the 20's and 30's to which the show pays homage (Warner siblings character design) or the classic Looney Toons, when it comes to animation of that genre. Even if the gags there are repeated they never get as boring as in this show.
I found Tiny Toon Adventures better overall. It may have featured a poorer script and far less references but it relied on the classic and tried Looney Tunes formula, even if it had also some serious flaws as well. But it lasted far less and stopped when it had to. It had also better characters (Looney Toons familiarity but also better voice-acting contributed).
Animaniacs would have been successful if it was aimed at an older audience and not aired as a kid's show. Scriptwriters would then probably have more freedom to push the parody/comedy element to the extreme. Also a higher animation budget would not hurt
But trying to push movie parodies fit for adults into a show aired early in the morning, limits the shows potential.
One of the important US children shows of the 90's. Despite its flaws, probably it was the last good effort to make a decent children's show and it had also some non-PC gags, many of the later US children cartoons would omit.
If you are not a fan, watch only the few episodes you liked back then (for me the they were the ones with R&R and P&B) and ignore the rest. If you have skipped the series as a child I wouldn't recommend watching it but you could give the first episodes a look to see if it suits your tastes.

This show made me laugh... A lot. I have seen so much slapstick and sketch comedy that it is hard for any of it to make me laugh. This show made me laugh my eyes out at times and smile my mouth out at others. It's refreshing to watch something so clean and fun at a time when popular television becomes that way by being inappropriate and complicated. This is my favorite show and it deserves this 10 star rating.

Even though I thought that the animation side of things for these Animaniacs cartoons was really very good, indeed - I considered its 3 principle characters (Yakko, Wakko & Dot) to be quite repulsive and, yes, unnecessarily mean-spirited in nature.
These 3 annoying, over-the-top goof-balls completely lacked the much-needed charm and general likability that was clearly evident with the original, Looney Tune cartoon characters from Warner Bros. (such as Bugs Bunny, Tweetie Bird, Sylvester, Porky Pig, etc., etc.) in those golden years of yesterday.
Due to the decidedly nasty cynicism and blatant sexual innuendo generously mixed into many of the Animaniacs' story-lines, I personally felt that these cartoons were, undoubtedly, a questionable choice for the viewing of young, impressionable children.
And, as far as being suitable viewing for the likes of myself (an adult) - I found Wakko, Yakko & Dot (not very original names) to be so childishly cruel in their shenanigans that their overall presence quickly became too exhausting and downright stupid to hold onto my undivided attention for more than just a few measly minutes.
Of course, you, yourself, might feel otherwise about Animaniacs. And, with that I say "To each their own, man. To each their own." - Right?

You know I was pondering the other day, my friends and I are children of the 90's and were going through all the awesome things we got to experience including some fun TV shows. I brought up that there is something missing from this generation, it seems as if most cartoons or kid's shows today are just lame. I was wondering if I was just saying this because I grew up, but everyone agreed and said there is one show that's proof of that: Animaniacs. We started watching the show again and the interesting thing is, as kids this show was non stop in the laughs department, now as grown ups, it seems like it actually got better. We never realized how much this show was not just meant for the kids as well as the adults as well. Animaniacs is a show that pushed the limits, had great pop culture humor, was great in animation and had the most memorable side characters.
Yakko, Wakko and Dot are three God-knows-what that were created for a new cartoon, but when they brought chaos and anarchy to the Warner Brothers Studio. Their films also seemed to make no sense, so they were locked away in the Warner Brothers tower to never be released, but every day they do what they can to escape and have adventures. They have a psychiatrist named Dr. Scratchensniff who is trying to figure out what they are and how they think. They are also constantly chased by the security guard who is trying to protect the head of the Warner Brothers studio from the three crazy little... things.
We also have several side characters, starting with Pinky and the Brain. Two lab mice, Brain does the same thing every night as he tries to take over the world with his insane goofy side kick Pinky, who's head isn't screwed on tightly enough. Mindy and Buttons, Mindy is a child who constantly always manages to escape her house and get into a mega amount of trouble while her poor dog Buttons is behind taking all the hits to protect her. Chicken Boo, a giant chicken of many clever disguises. Katie Kaboom, a hormone crazy teenager who looses her temper just a bit too easy and always turns into a giant monster. Rita and Runt, a stranded cat and dog, Rita sings and Runt thinks she's a cool dog. Slappy Squirrel and her nephew Skippy, she's an old cartoon star who's a bit cranky with the way cartoons are made now-a-days. Flavio and Marita, two high class hippo's enjoying the city life. Menerva Mink, quite the looker, who is looking for her true love. Mr. Skullhead who always takes the most random hits for Yakko, Wakko and Dot. And of course, The Goodfeathers, based off of Goodfellas, three pigeons who are trying to be "coo" with the city and claim their territory of Statue Scorcesse.
Animaniacs is such a classic cartoon, it broke my heart that this show was somehow canceled, I don't know why it was. It brought great laughs and a fun spin off with Pinky and the Brain. There are extremely clever jokes, to pick a favorite skit to someone to ask you if you'd rather be in love or have millions of dollars, it's just too hard to pick. Yeah, I'm a crappy romantic, I know. But Animaniacs is a show that I sincerely miss, if you ever get the chance to see it, please take it! It's so funny to see all the jokes that you laughed as a kid then grow up to get the real meaning behind it.

"Animaniacs" is a prime example of how a cartoon can be a roller coaster ride when you mix crazy characters, weird but funny situations, and clever and witty jokes. This is "Animaniacs"; a cult classic cartoon from the 90's.
The situations, jokes, and even dialogs paved the road for a new kind of cartoon humor later consolidated by "Pink and The Brain".
Thanks to this show we have the famous "hellooooooo nuuuuuuurse" line that is part of my childhood now.
Give this show to this irreverent show that will crack many laughs from you. Really, a funny show suit for all ages.

I'm extremely biased, because I love this show, but I think this was the best "children's" animated television series of the last quarter century. It revolves around three characters, the Warner siblings, ostensibly characters created by Warners animation department in the 1930s but found to be too zany and locked away in a water tower on the studio lot-"until they escaped".
In addition to segments featuring the Warner brothers (and the Warner sister Dot) and the supporting characters, Dr. Scratchandsniff, Hello Nurse and so on, there are other characters who populate the series and have their own separate stories. Different rotating characters appeal to different segments of the audience. I particularly like Slappy the Squirrel, Pinky and the Brain, Rita and Runt and the really short blackouts like Mime Time, Good Idea, Bad Idea and the like.
There are lots of parodies of films and television shows, current events and topical jokes, quite a few musical pieces and it moves fast and furious. If you blink, you probably miss something. Not everything works, but what doesn't work for me works for someone else.
The whole series is available on DVD and is worth watching. Most highly recommended.

This is another one of my favorite animated shows and also one of my favorite skit comedies.
This is basically an animated skit comedy which is cool and it's not really something I see much in animation. I was about 11 when I saw this show so I was still at the time too young to watch skit shows like "Mad TV" or "In Living Color" so I had to settle for this show, which pleasantly surprised me because it actually did something that every good skit should do, make me laugh.
The animation is just fantastic, it's sort of a through back to some of the old school animation you would see from Chuck Jones and Walt Disney and it really adds to the humor and targets the demographic their going for because this shows actually wasn't just for kids but for teenagers and adults. It also in a way made the show sort of a love letter to some of the old school animation from Disney and Warner Bros, without them we wouldn't of had what we had now.
The music is also great, I really love the theme song which is one of my favorite themes ever and one of the catchiest, I and my friends sometimes sang the song.
But what really made the show stand out are in the colorful animated ensemble and humor. The animated ensemble is great I really like Pinky and the Brain whom of course had their own show but that's a different story, Slappy the Squerrel I thought was dryly hilarious as she is so crass, grouchy and a real smart ass.
But of course the characters I really loved and I was in this show the most for were the Warners Brothers and Sister Yacko, Wacko, and Dot. All of them by their nature are kinda one character yet each of them have unique persona's and actions to round them out. Each of them look like characters straight from a classic Disney cartoon. I really like how each of them are mad (hense their names) but they are all good natured, mischievous but selfless and most of the people that they drive crazy are total blow holes that had it coming, so in a way their not just mischief makers but vigilantes in a odd sense.
But most of all I really like how all three their social able, they don't want to hurt anyone, and most importantly all three just want to have a good time. I always like it when Yacko and Wacko are pining for the Nurse whom is just some random henchwoman that is either helping the producer and doctor in catching them but most of all is simply just there. In a way it's sort of a parody on the crushes we all have for someone we randomly see everyday or even just on some character we notice in the background and wonder about.
My favorite of the trio is Wacko whom is true to his name and he is constantly well Wacko and his voice sounds like John Lennon but I really love that magic bag of his that just has anything. In a way it's sort of like Santa's back as it just gives you whatever you want by just thinking about it, if I think about a PS4 console system it will appear in the bag.
I just really love the humor which is clever in both visual and verbal humor. There are so many jokes in this show that sometimes it would take more than one watch to get them all. And the humor has a broad range as some jokes or reference jokes might fly over the heads of the kids but for the teen and the adults we can spot them clear as day which made the skits even funnier.
There are a lot of skits I love it's hard to decide so I'll just say a few of them.
Please Recycle: This is a Slappy Squrrel skit that made me laugh hard as Slappy retaliates against some irritating neighbor whom won't let Slappy put her aluminum can in her recycle bin for a stupid reason. This is an irritation we all can emphasize with where sometimes there is some jerk/idiot that complains about something being recycled in a bin, despite the fact it is put out to be picked up by the trucks or it's cleared marked for public dumping, it makes no sense and isn't it our duty and most important to save the enviorment, think about it. So yeah Slappy I feel your pain.
Potty: This is basically a simple Tolet Humor joke but on a suggestive note. It just hilarious and at the same time painful just seeing Wacko just on a quest to simply use the bathroom but every turn he is just completely out of luck and time. That is something we all can emphasize with when we all have to go and god forbid all the public stalls are occupied, wait in line, disgusting, or worse out of order.
Star Treker: This skit literally predated the movie "Galexy Quest" but for Star Trek and sci-fi fans this episode is a real treat.
Power Rangers: This is my favorite skit on this show and yeah on a side note I'm a Power Rangers fan. It is just so hilarious as it has practically parodied the franchise to a T. From seeing them do the posing for no apparent reason before battling or operating controls, the Doctor playing as a Zordon figure and Yacko wonders how he can talk without his mouth moving (good question), down to the mecha battle which is hilarious and one of my favorite one on one battles.
Animaniacs is a madhouse of fun.

This is basically an animated skit comedy which is cool and it's not really something I see much in animation. I was about 11 when I saw this show so I was still at the time too young to watch skit shows like "Mad TV" or "In Living Color" so I had to settle for this show, which pleasantly surprised me because it actually did something that every good skit should do, make me laugh.
The animation is just fantastic, it's sort of a through back to some of the old school animation you would see from Chuck Jones and Walt Disney and it really adds to the humor and targets the demographic their going for because this shows actually wasn't just for kids but for teenagers and adults. If you haven't sat down for an episode of animaniacs, then you're definitely missing out on something special. Sadly, I never got the chance to watch this show as a child, but my cousin did, and years later he introduced me to it. Since then, i've been hooked.
Animaniacs centres around the adventures of the zany Warner siblings, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. The Warners were created in the 1930s, but were considered too zany for the time, and locked away in the famous Warner bros water tower in the movie lot. In 1993, they made an escape and since then, have been escaping time and time again to go on several adventures, some as exciting as helping Michaelangelo paint the roof of the Sistine chapel, or some as silly as dropping anvils on the head of a bad Barney the dinosaur rip-off, which is probably my favourite animaniacs bit.
There's also a few other bits, including the goodfeathers (A parody of the goodfellas) Slappy the Squirrel, a squirrel from New York with a rougher than rough, tougher than tough attitude Pinky and the brain, 2 lab rats who try to take over the world through awkward plans, and Minerva mink, who looks like a pin-up girl.
The show has one big seller - it's adult humour. There are several double entendres that give the show it's salt. the most obvious, is when the warner bros lay eyes on beautiful women, they blurt out in unison "HELLLLLOOOOOOO Nurse!" with their sister sometimes clobbering them over the head with a mallet and saying "boys!" Bottom line, if you get a chance, check out animaniacs, it's totally worth watching.

I've watched the first 20 episodes of the series and I really like it.
You got Wakko, Yakko, and Dot causing havoc on the Warner lot, but also they have other adventures.
Pinky and the Brain always open with "What are we going to do tonight, Brain?" "The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world." Brain's plans always fail, despite near-success. I wonder why? Then there is the Goodfeathers, a spoof of Godfather. Three birds who are loyal to a statue in New York.
Buttons and Mindy where a little girl named Mindy gets herself into trouble, without realizing it, and Buttons is forced to save her and gets in trouble in the end, despite heroic.
Rita and Ruff are the cat/dog duo, the former sings in every cartoon she's in. Its a great time watching them too.
The Chicken Boo I cant say yet, cause only 1 appearance during the first 20 episodes.
I love Dr. scratchansniff, his short-temper always makes me laugh. Also, Mr. Plotz, "CEO" of Warner Bros. is always trying to ruin the Warner siblings' fun.
Slappy Squirrel is loads of fun. Old, yet clever, she knows how to stop her enemies, despite how unobvious it may be to others.
The hippo segment is boring though, I probably wouldn't watch it anymore and skip it.
All episodes on Netflix, out of syndication.

What a fun show! Yacko, Wacko and Dock are off the hook funny and truly zany to the max! This show is lit even to this day and as a viewer in these troubled times it is good to find myself smiling and rubbing my belly with a big belly laugh!!!!! What good old fashioned yukks, not like the "political" humor of Daily Show et all. Wicked themes have their place but not in a funny cartoon! And there's even some heart-felt segments like the ones with the candle or that sweet gold wrapping paper that have no jokes at all. Thanks Stephan Spielberg for making such an evergreen humor gem. Spoiler alert: you'll laugh your sokks off!

I loved "Tiny Toons", practically worshiped it. This, however, never did anything for me. Though it continued much of the same political and pop culture spoofing that "Tiny Toons" began, it lacked the warmth and occasionally sweet touches "Tiny Toons" had. In its place was a little too much cynicism and unpleasant, mean spirited goofiness. I can't help feeling like this is what "Tiny Toons" would have eventually evolved into had it not been canceled.
For some reason, these characters were never quite as funny as the ones from "Tiny Toons" or even "Taz-Mania", and hell those characters were basically kid versions of the old Looney Toon characters, whom I wasn't really big on either for some reason.
Well, to each their own. I don't particularly care for this one.

Animaniacs was THE cartoon of the 90s!! It was ace. The writing and animation were brilliant, and the voice acting was in a league of it's own.
Unlike Warner Brother's contemporaries, Tiny Toons and Taz-mania (which I also loved), Animaniacs would always show at least three different franchises an episode, meaning there was always something for everyone. The humour was very sophisticated for a cartoon, and as a result it could entertain kids and adults alike.
The main franchise revolved around the Warner Brothers and their sister (The Warner Siblings, then), Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. Locked in the studio water tower for 60 years for being too crazy, they break out and proceed to drive just about everyone they meet around the bend. It was great. However, if they didn't appeal (as if) or you fancied a change, there were many other equally wonderful characters with their own adventures, including Slappy the Squirrel, Rita and Runt, Buttons and Mindy and Pinky and the Brain (who got their own spin off), to name but a few.
If, for some reason you disagree, or managed to survive the 90s without ever seeing an episode, I suggest you seek this show out! I guarantee you you won't regret it. It is, to quote the show, 'Faboo!!'

Even if you don't get half the political satires, movie spoofs/references, Animaniacs is still a wonderful, brilliantly written, and entertaining romp through pretty much every episode.
Each show had something different to offer, seeing that this show was bringing back the variety show format in cartoon form. And with Steven Spielburg on board for this show, it's no wonder the show turned out as good as it did. You have the Warner Bros and their Warner Sister Dot of course, and were always the highlight of the show. And as the show explains, they hold up to their "zany to the max" personalities, providing a lot of classic Looney Toons/Tom and Jerry slapstick and likability for the children, while appealing to older audiences who catch the surprisingly adult innuendos/in jokes and references/satires about movies and such.
Then there's probably the next most popular, Pinky and the Brain, who would later get so popular they'd get their own show, so I won't talk about them too much here. But they did deserve their own show with such a creative and hilarious premise of two lab mice trying to take over the world.
Also Slappy Squirrel and her nephew Skippy. Slappy is a laid back, normally grumpy squirrel who is retired from her days of filming Bugs Bunny-like cartoons, except she had a wolf, octopus, and a bison on her tail instead of Elmer Fudd or Yosemite Sam. Her "do my own thing, don't care" attitude made for a lot of good moments, especially when she pointed out how stupid and predictable her rivals were. Her nephew Skippy is great to have along for the ride, providing a lot of entertaining conversations with Slappy, particularly the Woodstock episode which spoofed the "Who's on first" routine.
Then you've got the Goodfeathers, which is obviously parodying Goodfellas. This part of the show seemed somewhat repetitive, especially how each episode ended with beating one another up, but it still provided some very funny moments with the Godpidgeon and Martin Scorcese as their perch.
And then there's Rita and Runt. I personally would have like to see some of this part of the show more simply because of the musical bits. The music in Animaniacs as a whole is fantastic, but the Broadway singer (whose name escapes me right now) that sings and voices Rita is just flat out beautiful, and the first show that showed how Rita and Runt met really showed her talent, as did her "This is our Home" song. Runt is along for the ride too, who falls into the complete idiot category, as he always thinks Rita is a dog, while he completely dislikes cats.
There are other enjoyable shorts here too, like lovable Mindy and Buttons, Chicken Boo, and a few others that really never got too much time on the show, and each one has something good about them. I would like to sum up the musical score for this show in one word: Amazing. From catchy tunes, unforgettable lyrics, and simply perfectly done. "Yakkos World" is among one of the most amazing things I've ever heard, as well as "Wakkos Nation". Another honorable mention is the "Great Wakkoritie" bit, in which Wakko literally burps classic symphonies, and I find simply this bit funnier and more entertaining than any of the "Chowder" or "Spongebob" crap we have nowadays.
I could go on for a while about this show, but there is a 1000 word limit. So to sum it up, 9/10 for Animaniacs: Intelligent and hilarious writing, great animation, hilarious in-jokes and satires, wonderful musical score... just all around one of the best cartoons to come out of the 90's. Also Yakko and Wakko are among my favorite cartoons characters ever, simply because of their irreverent wit, charm, and making me laugh so hard I'd get a headache at times.

In a nutshell, Animaniacs follows the plot of three warner siblings who occasionally run around in the Warner studio to cause nautical chaos. This show has a lot of great, memorable, and even educational music videos. Like the countries around the world, the universe, and fun silly songs like koo koo monkeys. Just like in Tiny Tunes, the animation is very fluid and gag based.
Definitely recommend checking this one out.
