I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. I must say, however, that I have never seen an episode of Spenser: For Hire. Rather, I have enjoyed reading Robert B. Parker's Spenser books for months now, and Ceremony was one of my first reads. The book and the movie, of course, have some plot differences, which are for the most part trivial and necessary for good TV watching. I would guess that these movies aired originally either in Canada or on a pay channel because there were one or two full breast shots. Many of the actors are also Canadian, leaving Robert Urich and Avery Brooks as the only 2 stars from the original series. It definitely makes me want to see the original series on DVD sometime if they release it.

Story quite good, except for the too obvious ending

I enjoyed this movie from beginning to end.
The plot and twists are good, but they're nothing special. But its still got a bit of substance. The acting was good/decent, and there were a couple jokes that i chuckled at. if its on tv, its worth the 2 hours, check it out. I give it an 8/10.
