I saw this mini series on PTS Taiwan (Public Television Station like the PBS in the States) and I loved it. The cinematography is absolutely beautiful. The director really knows how to tell a good story. The cast are just right on. Everything seems to work in this gem. I can say this is one of the best mini series I've seen. My girlfriend watched it with me except for the last episode because she had to come back to US. When she landed, the first thing was calling me and ask me what happened in the finale. We were both hooked. So I was ready to shed out my hard-earned money to get the DVD, but I couldn't find a place that carried it. No VHS, not to mention VCD or DVD. Yeah, I've tried them all, amazon ebay and half.com or even amazon Canada. I don't understand why?! Please, please release something for the fans!

When the Treaty of Paris is signed in 1763, the French colonists of New France suddenly find themselves subjects of the British Empire. As the world around her crumbles, young Marguerite (Catherine Sénart) fights to keep her home, her heritage and her honour. Beautiful, romantic and dramatic, this is one of the best mini-series I've seen in a long time (Michael Sapieha's charm surely has something to do with it...). A brilliant cast, beautiful surroundings and a story that is never forgot; truly one of the best.
