- A woman tries to seduce a man and her lower body is shown. It's implied she forces him into something and he's visibly disturbed.
- There are three fast, but horrific flashbacks showing men assaulting a woman whose bodice is open.
- A woman is seen wearing only a quilt and sometimes holds it away from herself.
- Rear male nudity when a man in a small tub stands up.
- A man and a woman make love, nothing is seen but brief grasping of each others' clothes.

- A dog is thrown against a wall and his eye is dislodged. He survives and the scene is brief, but the image is graphic and shocking.
- A woman tries to murder her children by cutting one's throat, knocking two out of consciousness, and attempting to bash one head against a wall. All but the first survive. She's not shown actually harming any of them, but she's shown with blood on her and is holding the child that didn't make it.
