Cheers to HBO!

Wonderful story about a group HIV positive men involved in a race to Hawaii by sail. They are all truly 'survivors'. The film shows their quest with a refreshingly unsentimental honestly (except, sorry, for the guy who sounded like a NYC cabby blubbering about 2 lost lovers). My own quibble would be, why did it have to be shot on videotape? Expense? I suppose, but it's too bad it couldn't have been shot on film. Cheers to HBO Signature for airing it, even if it was at a time when no one would see it. Do like I did and set your VCR if it should come on again!

powerful, moving, funny and heartbreaking

This movie touched me deeply. The troubles of this courageous and loving group of men are painful and deadly, but they bear up under their sorrows with dignity and laughter. Yes, they bitch and moan, but they also create close bonds and support each other. The friendly and boisterous cook was my particular favorite. I highly recommend this movie.
