Sweet hitch- hiker
dbdumonteil17 February 2006
I must confess Georges Guétary's songs and style of singing are not really my cup of tea.I had to turn down the volume every time he sang a little song, but there's no accounting for taste.

The director,Jean Stelli ,hit the big time with his tear-jerker "le voile bleu" during the Occupation. Here he contents himself with filming the Côte d'Azur and its camp sites.

The plot : a famous singer is sick and tired of his life.So he heads for the Côte d'Azur where his meets the hitch-hiking girl mentioned in the title (=A girl on the road);of course,it's not love at first sight,it's rather Gable /Colbert in "it happened one night" ,but do not panic, things will work out fine.

Strictly for Guétary 's fans.
