No, it's not porn... damn these misleading titles. Nevertheless, it's a hoot for viewing and a glorious waste of $4 on the rental. "Boys In Love 2", like it's predecessor, is a collection of gay-themed or gay-produced short films. That doesn't necessarily mean that being a raving homosexual will give you any greater understanding or appreciation for BIL2. All one really needs to enjoy it is a serious penchant for camp and lowered expectations.
Forgive my sketchy details here... The first flick is some artsy-fartsy homo-erotic short featuring gladiators, or sumthin'. Forgettable, so fast forward.
The fun begins with a short...the name of which I don't recall...featuring the same plastic doll that appeared in "Boys In Love". Our heroine, the dollie, makes her away around via the wonders of stop-motion camera-work. And it's a real holler. The film is shot on location at the Pines on Fire Island, which means dollie gets to witness 2 muscle-boys humping before she, out of pure curiosity, sniffs a bottle of poppers the muscle-boys left on the floor. It's twisted, and sick, and fun and I peed myself laffing.
But the real p***er is "Karen Black Like Me." It's a send-up of the 70's made-for-television horror flick in which B-film goddess Karen Black is stalked by a killer voodoo doll. The role of Karen is played here by the feyest of fey sissy-monsters (some gay male actor)... and the role of the killer voodoo doll is played by.... a Jeff Stryker dildo.
