The plot of RATS! revolves around a man who moves to a strange apartment building with equally strange people living there. The problems for this new neighbor start when the rest of the tenants start linking an infestation of rats to him.

I don't wanna reveal too much, so I'll just move on to the technical aspects of the short film. This Golden Sun award winner has a very noir feel to it, not just because it's been shot on black & white, but because of the composition of elements, probably the most important one being the soundtrack. Another amazing thing about this film is that it's timeless. At first take you'd think it takes place in the 40s-50s, but then you'll realize of the existence of contemporanean elements that contradict this.

This is a very nice example of Latin American film-making with a twist, that reminded me of the early works of David Lynch or Leonardo Favio, his Latin American equivalent.

It is a very hard to find copy, but it's worth the trouble
