Charming porn comedy
lor_15 June 2022
The old-fashioned gimmick here is an aphrodisiac, but Jerome Bronson's gentle comedy, taking off just a trifle on that prime-time soap "Falcon Crest", is a fine example of unpretentious, entertaining porn.

Oddly enough, Bronson takes a possessive credit "A Jerome Bronson feature" to open the show, his director is instead listed as "Wolfgang Gower", a pseudonym. He should have been proud.

Bronson also plays (uncredited) a funny supporting role as a butler named John, working for the couple Peter North and Crystal Hart. Feature opens with him serving them a special wine, which turns out to be a powerful aphrodisiac, leading to the pair having hot sex (while John can only watch).

They decide to visit the vineyard to find out more about such a wonderful beverage. Throughout the show, cast members imbibe, and are subsequently overcome with passion, with sex following. It's a friendly, amiable formula for sex, pleasantly presented. Shooting on location at a vineyard is a distinct plus.

Nina Hartley earns top billing as the matriarch owner of the place, somewhat young for a role she would grow into in her ongoing lengthy career. Stealing scenes is Mike Horner as a German expert in charge of perfecting the wine, who discovers the source of its aphrodisiac quality is pollination by a fly from Spain (get it?).

Crystal Hart is okay as North's blonde wife, while the movie's star, bosomy Alicia Monet, is omitted by mistake from the opening credits. Completing the cast are ever lovely Shanna McCullough and studly Field Marshal Bradley as vineyard employees.
