Gets A Few Laughs From A Contrived Situation
Snow Leopard12 July 2001
Leon Errol's short comedy "His Pest Friend" takes a mostly contrived situation and gets a few laughs out of it. Leon's wife is trying to buy the cabin where they spent their honeymoon, as a surprise for Leon, but he misinterprets her dealings with the man who owns the cabin. Leon has a friend at work who has just lost everything in a messy divorce, and this "pest" friend convinces Leon that the same thing is about to happen to him. The action that follows is largely predictable, but Errol helps it come across fairly well. His non-verbal comic skills often make situations seem funnier than they are in themselves.
