Here is a western picture acted with all the spirit and vim which the Lubin players know so well how to put into their acting. Harry Blake, the principal character, is drawn true to life. There were, and are, many just such men in that region. When he saves the sheriff's daughter he acted upon his impulses. When he shot his man he acted equally upon impulse. How could the sheriff do otherwise than allow him to get over the state line? Next comes the warning of the impending flood. Even though it took him back over the border he risked it, as any man of his type would have done. And the end is wedding bells, of course. - The Moving Picture World, June 10, 1911
