What a lost wonderful little film from Italy.

Gérard Blain is outstanding here, in a role just made for him. He is a young man just discharged from the army and who gets hired by cattle stealers, some where racketeers, who grab animals and money from farmers. he needs money, so he accepts to get into this awful organization. But not for long, as you may guess. It's a sort of modern western set in Italy. The revolt of this man against the oppressor whom he initially worked for. It's an Italian movie, not French, even with the likes of Gérard Blain and Charles Vanel as his father. His dad he wants to protect against the evil guys. Good settings, good acting, but however a little predictable, I admit.
