A terrible vendetta in Paris
searchanddestroy-125 October 2008
Warning: Spoilers
What a marvelous topic. Typically french, "corsican", more exactly.

The tale of the famous vendetta, vengeance over the years between two families. For nearly nothing at the start, as always with Sicilians or Corsican people, from the underworld or not...It can remember you the first Ridley Scott film: Duellists.

It takes place in splendid Paris By Night atmosphere, the face to face between the brothers of each side, who decide peacefully about the "when" and "where" they will fight against each other. A dog fight. Till the total wiping out for both of the two groups. Astounding story. You must see it to believe this. The battle takes place in the Paris night, where the two families run after each other aboard their private cars. Delicious. And what pleases me is that there is not "bad guys" or "good guys". All the characters are sympathetic for the audiences. Rare.

I literally felt under the tragic charm of this feature. The overall man hunt in Paris By Night scheme and jazzy score atmosphere reminded me UN TEMOIN DANS LA VILLE

As far as I know, director Andre Versini died in a violent manner, because involved with gangsters in Paris, - Jo Attia, it seems, who was a famous bank robber just after WW2. But that's another story...
