Nothing to get excited about
Barry Lyndon-310 January 2001
I saw THE CLOCK a few months ago as part of several short films together. I think the goal in a short film is to capture the audience's attention quickly, this is where THE CLOCK fails.

It has interesting camera angles. It's not visual ala Tim Burton or Sam Raimi; just the cinematographer knew where to place the camera for the shot. The story and script is terrible and the actors look as confused as those of us watching.

Huh?
Barry Lyndon-35 January 2001
THE CLOCK suffers from trying to be a big, important, life-changing film instead of what it should have been - a clever, witty short film. What could have been a fun premise (Elderly people try to avoid death by stopping the ticking clock across the street), went more pretentious than inventive. Visually it had it's moments, but a weak story and script without any strong performances doomed this little film.
