A funny little comedy which loses steam in its last third ,the events of which sacrifices humor for the sake of spectacular effects , a burglary a la "Topkapi " and a predictable ending a la "les égoûts du paradis" .
The rest is thoroughly enjoyable , a spoof on the classic tale of the ex-convict who wants his former accomplices to give him his share of the booty
This "retour en force" (back with a vengeance ) is not what the hero expects : in his letters ,he was told his son was a medicine student (he's actually in "mechanics" ,a job which consists of stealing mopeds and reselling them ); he finds his wife living with a bus driver , in her lover 's house.
The Lanoux /Laffont/Mondy threesome is efficient and the lines often hit home ;Entertaining.
