WIFE'S SEXUAL FANTASY: BEFORE HUSBAND'S EYES is a strange mix of relatively common pinku elements (rape, murder, obsession, misogyny, etc...) and an original and engaging storyline that's equal parts sleazy erotica and blackmail mystery...(note: to anyone who's researched this film in Thomas Weisser's The Japanese Cinema Encyclopedia: The Sex Films book - the synopsis in that book is not accurate to the events in the actual film...)
A wealthy businessman is blackmailed by some local thugs because he's having an affair with a local hooker. To keep the businessman's wife and the media from finding out about his roving penis, the thugs frame him for the murder of his mistress and make him agree to pay a large sum of money, and also make him agree to allow them to rape his wife - which they of course do. In a twist in plot, we find that the thugs weren't acting of their own volition, and the motives and repercussions are not as simple as initially thought...
I dug this one a lot. Good storyline, tons of sleazy sex/rape, and the filthy dialogue is about the best of the genre - tons of talk about anal-sex and "dirty holes", truly classic stuff. The end of the film is surprisingly upbeat (in a trashy kinda way) that is a big surprise for these types of films that usually end in broken women, tormented men, or death to both. Definitely one of the better genre entries for fans of sleazy pinku material...8.5/10
