What a frustrating film to watch! If this were merely a bad film, I might have stopped watching or could trash the film in my review. The problem is that the artwork on one hand was very lovely but on another it practically made my eyes bleed and could induce seizures! The drawings, I assume are mostly pencil or perhaps pastels and they are really lovely. BUT, in order to heighten the effects of the wind, the animators whose to make the images flash wildly again and again and it was painful to watch--detracting strongly from the drawings. I think this flashing mod look was used because it was made in 1972--an era where psychedelic and garish were definitely IN! It's really all too bad, as the story is quite cute and it's obvious the folks who made this were immensely talented.
