an amazing work of art about an amazing artist

I recently stumbled upon this film and decided to take a look based on the photo and name Limon. I was about to travel to Mexico and wanted to learn some history of one of their people.

I soon learned that Jose Limon was much more than a Mexican dancer. He sprung off the screen and into my soul as I watched this beautifully edited opus of an American Icon who gave so much to his community and the world.

The film takes us through the life of this unique dancer and choreographer from his birth in 1907 and his move to the United States during the Mexican revolution, then to his almost shy start in the dance world and to the blossoming of his talent and original creativity in this medium. we get to experience his genius as he captivated the world modern dance scene with some of the most creative works of our, or any other time.

This is a must see for anyone who appreciates art, dnace, and creative genius.
