I was fortunate enough to see this movie while it was making its festival rounds. It is a period piece set in the 50's and done so well you feel like you are watching a health film from that era. At times the jokes are so funny and fast you may miss one while you're laughing at the last.
If you are easily offended, get over it and see this movie when you have the chance.
The Lou character is "everyman", whether we admit it or not. His isolation is something most people can relate to at one time or another, if not his particular affliction. The writers really knew what they were doing when they decided to have this movie take place in the 1950's when sensibilities saw Lou's behavior even more as a taboo.
