Warning: Spoilers
I discovered today this pretty well done french thriller. Cops vs hoods. In the 1964 Paris with, of course, the Paris by Night atmosphere and the adequate jazzy music. Dialogues are sharp, characters convincing, the topic not great but no tepid either. It's not a masterpiece I am talking about, but a rare french film noir. Who would be dumb enough to think all french films are flat and uninteresting?

The movie explains very deeply how police force from the 36, Quai des Orfèvres investigates. They have to deal with prostitutes, protectors and other thugs such as robbers and racketters.

Pierre Mondy is here as good as usual.
