A funny, magic-realism short...
Alessia-226 October 2001
I watched this movie at the Raleigh Studios screening. It is a funny, magic-realism short film with a touch of Fellinian style. The main character, Maldita, reminds us of actresses of the classical European films. The black and white emphasizes the antique beauty of the Mexican architecture. Directing, acting and music are great and very interesting.

Innovative presentation

Spoof of the attempts by Europeans to make a serious point about life. Contains a hint of the 3 Stooges.Message seems to be- "Some people are rotten to the core and that's just the way it is." Dubbing defects just add to the spoof.

This film is funny!

This film is funny! It does an excellent job in capturing the magic essence that made those movies back in 30's and 40's timeless. I believe that Mr. Stabley, who already established himself as a crafted Art Director in Hollywood, proved another side of his artistry. I highly recommend this film!
