Interesting, Illuminating, Moving, Enlightening & Entertaining
marilynbrett-125 October 2008
An extremely interesting, enlightening, moving, entertaining and sometimes dark look at 'alternative' life. Although with Ken Kesey it is sometimes a look back at the psychedelic era of the hippies and baby boomers, I think this is a film which will become even more and more pertinent in today's economy and in searching one's own life or for one's own life or for what's really important in life. Many of these 'rubber tramps' are incredibly intelligent, artistic individuals; some have mental obstacles to fight in life. From the music to the art to the exploration of lifestyles and living free, this film is a unique and current exploration of people living 'on the road' lifestyles. I don't think I will ever look at the road or the side of the road the way I did before seeing this film.
