An advocate of reform of another kind
zzmale7 April 2004
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: how amazing the night is.

Although the story itself is a fake, identical events in real life actually happened frequently in the early era of reform. This movie advocates reform in another way: in addition to the economical reform that is needed to make factories operate more efficiently, social and cultural reforms are also needed to enrich people's spiritual life. Reforms are needed in every aspect of life and there was the need to brainstorming, because concentrated on the economic development along would not help. Although made in the early era of the reform, what this movie advocates still applies to China today.
