Chinese equivalent of similar western films such as OSS.

Chinese equivalent of OSS and other similar western movies that describes the lives of undercover agents fighting fascism. Based on the true story of lives of actual undercover agents, all of whom were eventually captured and killed by fascists.

A rather mediocre war-time spy thriller
TheBigSick15 September 2017
This film centers around a spy Xia Li (Daolin Sun), disguised as a businessman. Is the enemy going to discover his true identity? Will he survive?

I like its confident pacing, which is quite comfortable for the audience. However, the director does not seem to be good at generating an intense atmosphere. Instead, the director uses an over-sentimental approach to the story.

Moreover, there is a vital plot hole, which undermines the credibility of the story to a great extent. Why does the enemy trust Xia Li and provide him important information before validating his identity?
