Looking To The Past.
rsoonsa-198-36327614 November 2015
LOOKING TO THE PAST Braddock, Pennsylvania was a thriving steel manufacturing community during the 1930s and 1940s. It has since fallen into lean times, remembered chiefly by chroniclers of the downtrodden such as Studs Terkel. However, Braddock has also produced its own film documentarian, Tony Buba, whose 12 part Braddock Chronicles include this short (10 minute) piece. Filmed with video tape, it relates of the activities of one Jimmy Roy, whose indefatigable enthusiasm for potential business ventures forms the kernel of a work that definitely captures the spirit of failure that marks a man's failed life. It is to be found as an extra upon the two disc special edition of GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS.
