Too Steroetypical
stevergy20006 December 2021
Although the animation was spot-on and the voice-overs quite compelling in their capturing of different personality types, I found the pigeon-hole characterizations far too predictable and old fashioned. Not all boyfriends are more interested in football than their girlfriends. Not all mothers obsess about their daughter's upcoming nuptials to such an oppressive degree. Not all young women have such petty concerns regarding the selection of appropriate bridesmaids. And most importantly, not all young people these days see marriage as all that important a social function. One can live together without this often empty ceremony and not be penalized for doing so financially, morally, socially, culturally or ethically. So what's the big deal?

Still, if you imagine the events of this story as having occurred in to the 1950s, it is kind of funny.
