I just saw "Yin" as part of the animation program of the annual Out on Screen film festival in Vancouver. That is unfortunate only because "Yin" really deserved a much larger audience.
This particular short stood out -- not only because it consisted of quality animation and music, but because it told a beautiful, touching story. It portrayed the feeling of difference often faced by the gay and lesbian community (or any relationship that isn't mainstream) using anthropomorphic yin and yang symbols. Hard to believe that those little characters could bring tears to my eyes. I hope that the writer director of the piece continues to produce such quality work. Congratulations to the creators of this wonderful little film.
