Tormento
tlips2 January 2007
TORMENTO is a good movie that shows how college students lived in beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 70's. The plot is a little daring for the early 70's, so it is presented in a subtle way.

The theme of the movie evolves about a student with a childhood trauma, and his best friend girl's friend, the student of psychology, becomes interested in his problems, and the love triangle is elegantly developed.

The director and producer Ozen Sermett was the photographer for Tarzan and the Jungle Boy and of the Dracula of Istanbul, among others. He also worked as a photographer with Jean Mazon capturing the beauties of the Brazilian fauna and flora.

Thaïs M. Guerreiro is the protagonist of the story. She was a Law student when acting in TORMENTO as a psychology student. She is the 3rd generation of actors and actresses of Brazil's turn of the twentieth century, such as Leopoldo Fróes, Corinna Fróes, Iris Fróes, Nestório Lips and Gioconda Lips.
