Not usually into Brienen Movies. There a little too artsy fartsy for my taste. But this I got to say seems to be the most simple of movies I've seen from him. And I'm a way that's why it works. Because the part that is a good movie is because it is a genuinely good movie about a destructive relationship. Of course it's gets side tracked quite a bit here and there and that's where this movie loses its steam. It's a shame because the story is really good here. And the performances keep you watching for sure but then Brienen has to get all "Brienen". Look you'll get what I'm saying if you seen this directors other movies. A little too artsy, and self indulgent. If would have just stuck to the main story it would be a solid 8/10 but since it deviates 6/10.
