When the clock strikes 12 new years eve, 2000, a computer goes crazy and creates a bunch of mutant creatures at Kirkland laboratories. Made for less than $3,000 (!!!!!)this film proves you don't need millions of dollars to make a cool, watchable horror movie. A creative plot, decent acting, cool music, and some very good f/x, except for the blob creature which looked terrible. There's some good gore and lots of ick (Black slime!) to keep a smile on your face and the zombie creature was awesome! Definitely the most memorable-looking zombie I've seen in a while, anyways. Despite the low-budget the direction is solid and stylish and the production values are quite good. A fun, fast-paced horror film worth watching with an interesting twist in the end.
Just try not to notice how dated the story line is and you'll have fun.
7/10.
