A very entertaining, laid-back program featuring various talented HBCU students

I was pretty impressed with this show, and I've seen a lot of great acts through it. The talent is crisp and fresh, featuring dancers one second, yet sticking to their roots as student choirs sing spirituals the next. I like how it includes all forms of talent, because usually the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a show with this title is probably a bunch of steppers or drumlines. While those activities have their place, this show also shines the spotlight on spoken word artists, dancers, musicians of many types, and my favorite: actors. I've seen some students with really great acting skills, as well as musicians whom I'm sure will get a record deal. This show is well worth the "hour."
