Violence & Gore

  • Jack shoots someone, and the car crashes into a building. with brief blood, but it's not too graphic.
  • There are a few large shootouts, such as the one near the subway and the one in the apartment.
  • Eddie gets shot, and some blood can be seen, but he survives.
  • Several scenes with gunplay, with guilty and innocent people getting hurt/killed.
  • Some characters are shown with blood because they came in contact with people who were bleeding, and some characters are seen bleeding after being shot.
  • There is a hostage scene which may upset some people (All hostages end up being ok).

Profanity

  • 3 uses of 'fuck' (3rd use a recording of the 2nd use) plus an additional use in a deleted scene, 14-16 uses of 'shit' (2 used as 'bullshit'), 5 uses of 'hell', 4 uses of 'damn' (3 paired with "God"), 1 use of 'ass', 1 use of 'Jesus' as an exclamation, and 1 use of 'crap'.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The subway shootout is pretty intense.
  • The first apartment scene near the beginning is intense.
  • The bar scene is very intense.
  • The apartment shootout is intense.
  • The ending is intense.
  • The street ambush is intense.
  • Many intense scenes in which the main characters are chased and shot at. Jack and Eddie are both shot at different times in the movie, but they survive.
  • The "hostage" scene is very rough, however no one gets killed.
  • The whole film is intense, at times very, as the theme is two men dodging a group of crooked cops in the city.
