I missed the first 5 of the series at present showing on the French Pacific satellite network.Am up to number 101 and looking forward to the finish in around 120. Some scenes were included to make the series to reach the 120 . The main problem I have with Frijolito X 45 minute X 5 day per week is that it seems that it is sent to Tahiti from France and every day the last 4 to 8 minutes is chopped off. In 2010, one would think that this type of annoyance could be omitted. All in all though I love this series and will look forward when the whole can be bought as a boxed DVD to be watched without interruptions.
Pedro, an alcoholic father desert his 3 children who are raised by the well off second husband of their mother. The older son-Francisco- manages a business. The middle child - a daughter is pressured by Francisco to become a nun whilst the Younger child- Ignacio- goes to Los Angeles to become a doctor. On his last day in Mexico before training for medicine, Ignacio "Nacho" goes to a disco where his friend Luchio introduce him to Margarita who becomes pregnant when she is drugged by a "spiked" drink from Lucho but she believe it to be from Nacho.On his return as a doctor, Nacho falls again in love with Margarita but she try to hate and hurt him all she can. The rest of the story weaves in and out of the many problems facing the two lovers with reconciliation and marriage at the end with father and son "Frijolito" reunited.
