The Edison Company has published this romance in beautiful form. Some of their directors have developed wonderfully in the selection of exquisite backgrounds and in dressing the author's creation. "The Ghost of Granleigh" shows an exceptionally high idea of the artistic and a ghostly presentation that has rarely if ever been exceeded in delicacy of portrayal. When the moonlight is streaming through a window and the yawning butler is about to put out the lights, the impression is there given that the ghost's presence is felt by the characters, though the apparition is shown to the audience. This vague sensibility of an unseen presence is more poetic and inspiring than if it was shown that the living beings actually saw the haunting specter. The Moving Picture World, August 30, 1913
