A drama of a southern feud, this two-reel romance follows along familiar lines. There is strength and compelling interest in every moment of its action, nevertheless. Many dramatists have told the story of the man who seeks to be an instrument of vengeance and finds he has brought the harm upon his own child. Victor Hugo made use of it in "Le Roi S'Amuse," and "The Gladiator," played by Salvini, was based upon the same theme. Joseph W. Smiley is the avenging father in the present case. He makes every point register. - The Moving Picture World, April 3, 1915
