It is definitely worth the time to see this movie

The story is a tale, told by an old man who leads the viewer through a legend and weaves a fascinating adventure along the way. While there is violence in the movie, young teens would definitely find this movie intriguing. They will encounter a few "scream out loud" scenes but for the most part, it is a good story with beautiful scenery.

The cave scenes are very realistic, as well as the "ghost". All in all the actors played their roles well. Perez and Weathers were the most believable actors and they repeated their lines right on cue. I felt that some of the actors hesitated before delivering their lines and that may be more of an editing problem than acting.

The cinema photography was outstanding. The sets believable. I didn't even realize the interior shots of the cave was a set. The scene of the house looked more like a painting but it didn't really take away from the story since it was a myth and the house part of the story.

All in all, I enjoyed the movie but I feel the editing might need some refreshing. Other than that......go for it!

Really horrible movie without one redeeming quality

I think that a lot of friends of people who acted in this thing must've come on and rated it because I'm telling you, its just awful. The acting is worse than soapopera bad, the effects are like something you'd see out of a 1970 episode of Doctor Who, the story is, well, there is no story. And they keep using the same 2 minute song over and over and over again. And the werewolf? Its like the muppets they used in Wing Commander, the giant cats, remember how bad they looked? The werewolf is that bad. Seriously, the guy who directed this thing is terrible and should never get to direct anything else again, except maybe his son's school play, but even then, he should have to pay the audience to see it. Ghostwolf is nothing but a bad joke.

Indie horror western

Warning: Spoilers
THE LEGEND OF GHOSTWOLF is nothing more than an indie western horror flick made on the ultra-cheap. It was made back in 2004 and as a story features a group of bandits who are hunting for lost gold inside an abandoned mine. Instead, they discover only a deadly legend that spells disaster for the group. This is badly made from beginning to end, with particularly poor direction and constant fake-looking scenes.

I Predict the Birth of a New Cult Classic

I loved the story. It is well developed, doesn't take any weird detours and there are no confusing plot twists. It has all the standard elements in place for a good, old-fashioned horse-opera. It has a damsel in distress, trying to validate her missing father's obsession with a lost hoard of gold. It has the bad guys, trying to rob the damsel and her family of the map to the treasure that was all her father left them. It has the hero, just a good ole son-of-the-sod, riding to the damsel's rescue on a Golden Palomino. It has a bad guy with a heart of gold.

But wait, there's more! "The Legend of Ghostwolf" is not just any old horse-opera. It has a really cool "Legend" that the damsel and the hero have to figure out. And it has an equally cool monster, the "Ghostwolf".

If you are a fan of cult classics, you gotta see this one.

Gotta see it!

I have to admit that when I popped the DVD into the machine, I didn't expect much. This type of movie is usually more appealing to my husband than to me. We both really enjoyed it, though, and I've recommended it to several friends.

The characters were interesting, the costuming was terrific, and the scenery was truly beautiful. This film has the ability to take you away a bit, which is something that is often missing, especially in productions that don't have mega-bucks backing.

If you are looking for something different and want to get to know the work of a filmmaker that has a future, this is a good bet. Check it out.

So much with so little
fuhrer-419 July 2005
Shane Scott has done so much with so little on this project. This was not a low budget film it was a NO budget film. It makes one wonder what he could do with some real money behind him. This is an excellent movie when you consider how it was made. I would recommend that everyone see it at least once to see what an up and coming Director can do with nothing and no backing. It is a good story and plays well. Some of the CGI is a little rough but this was a first movie and not a short this is a feature film. The acting was good and there are some great shots of some of the nicest sites in Texas. I am looking forward to much more from this guy.
