The story is a tale, told by an old man who leads the viewer through a legend and weaves a fascinating adventure along the way. While there is violence in the movie, young teens would definitely find this movie intriguing. They will encounter a few "scream out loud" scenes but for the most part, it is a good story with beautiful scenery.
The cave scenes are very realistic, as well as the "ghost". All in all the actors played their roles well. Perez and Weathers were the most believable actors and they repeated their lines right on cue. I felt that some of the actors hesitated before delivering their lines and that may be more of an editing problem than acting.
The cinema photography was outstanding. The sets believable. I didn't even realize the interior shots of the cave was a set. The scene of the house looked more like a painting but it didn't really take away from the story since it was a myth and the house part of the story.
All in all, I enjoyed the movie but I feel the editing might need some refreshing. Other than that......go for it!
